Mos- ley Award for Fraternity Zeal—the highest award granted by Sigma Alpha Epsilon as a national organization. These dis- tinctions speak volumes about the character of our members. Our true gentlemen work hard for the good of the fraternity, for each other, and for themselves. Academics, Athletics, and Service We remain in the top tier for academics, delivering a GPA of 3.27 for the last six semesters in a row, well above the all-fra- ternity average of 3.11. We ranked third in spring 2018 intra- mural athletics and averaged— 28.5 service hours per member. We continuously uphold the highest values for young men. The chapter is so grateful to have our alumni guide us, and we hope you are as proud of the achievements at Sigma Alpha Epsilon as we are. While the men are ecstatic to receive these honors, they know the road to success does not end here. We want to excel above all the rest so that the chapter house can live on for another 100 years at Kansas State. Awards At Leadership School 2018, the chapter received five awards, including SAE National Chapter Achievement Award, Out- standing Chapter Communication Award, Treasurer Josh Kavanagh '20 received the Outstanding Eminent Treasurer Award, and we were runner-up for the Outstanding Alumni Association Award. Most importantly, Kansas Beta was one of the five finalists nationally for the Zeal Award. From Province Zeta, Kansas Beta was awarded the Province Zeta Scholarship Award and Province Zeta John Dillingham Leadership Award. And finally, at the Kansas State level, SAE was named Kan- sas State Fraternity of the Year—the top award among all 26 fraternities on campus from KSU Greek Affairs. Ryan Schip- pers '20 was also named Outstanding New Member of the Year and the chapter received the University Dean's Award. Our members rise to the occasion for whatever event we put together or problem we face. There is a certain atmosphere of "work hard, play hard" when everyone is together. It is inspir- ing to hold each other accountable, but it also creates lasting friendships for life. The chapter is happy, but not satisfied. We will continue our path to success in all our endeavors. $18,500 Raised for Children's Miracle Network during Spring 2018 Semester We are pleased to announce that this spring 2018 semester we successfully started our partnership with the Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon and helped raise $15,000 for the event. This is the most we have raised for philanthro- py as long as our members can remember, and it represents the dedication and effort we put into service. There was a live band, snacks, and dancing with some of the local families who are recipients of Children Miracle Network's help. Two of our members have taken it upon themselves to help coor- dinate the event again this fall. Right: The chap- ter volunteering for cleanup after a game at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
