This is an open letter to all our senior alumni brothers who are members of the Golden Guard of the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity – the club for brothers with 50 or more years of membership in good standing (you are a member if you were initiated between 1949 and 1968). We invite you to join your fellow brothers of the Guard, along with your junior alumni brothers and the current undergraduate chapter, at the 18th annual luncheon at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Fieldhouse Bar & Grill (1200 W. Main Street – 309.494.9600) in Peoria, Illinois. Our brothers who graduated in the Bradley University Class of 1968 will be holding their 50th anniversary reunion at the same event, so it will be a chance to see some faces you may not have seen for some time. Plus, this is the opening event for Bradley University's Homecoming weekend, so you will not want to miss it. We usually have brothers from northern and southern Illinois, throughout the Midwest (such as Ron McGauvran '54), and across the country (such as Roger Hill '59) join us for this event, so please make your plans to attend now! At the luncheon, you can order from a limited menu and pay individual checks, so what you spend is up to you. You can also bring as many guests as you like to the party, such as your dream girl or that brother you golf with or play poker with once a week/month/quarter. All we ask is that you contact Mike Unruh '57 (217.877.2806 or golfguyone@comcast.net) so we have enough space for all brothers and guests. If you RSVP by August 29 and tell Mike that you are a first-time attendee, we will have your Golden Guard certificate available to present to you at the luncheon! The handsome certificate is suitable for framing and looks impressive on the wall of an office or home. After a reception and meal, you can listen to an update on the status of the fraternity, the alumni corporation, and the undergraduate chapter. Plus, we want your input into how to improve the Golden Guard luncheon and better serve our senior alumni brothers like yourself! Gamma Upsilon's 70th Anniversary Is Coming up in 2019! On April 30, 2019, Gamma Upsilon will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its installation into Theta Chi. To guide us in our planning, we are asking for your input as to where and when this celebration should take place.
