Whether you have a Quad, Side by Side or a Jeep, the"Arizona Peace Trail" is a great way to take daily rides or planned overnight trips providing information on where to gas up, grab a bite to eat or stay the night throughout Yuma, La Paz and Mohave Counties. At least a dozen regional OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) clubs, in three counties, have partici- pated in the inventory of places to visit throughout the 3 Counties. Their mission is to develop a loop trail system utilizing existing trails and roads in Western Arizona connecting Bullhead City to Yuma and assist the land managers in maintaining the trail system. Members are working with City, County, State and Federal Agen- cies to keep the desert roads and trails open for public use. Experience dramatic landscape chang- es associated with elevations from 170 ft.- 7070 ft. Travel throughout the most beautiful rolling desert, scattered with 1000's of tall Saguaro cactus and red rock landscapes, windy sand washes, narrow canyons and mountain passes. The Arizona Peace Trail is full of excite- ment with fun terrain variations, pictur- esque landscapes, historical sites/facts and vast variety of plants and wildlife throughout. The wildlife seen can be incredible! A large buck with a full rack, a variety of birds including a large brown spotted hawk and wild burros to name a few. The Arizona Peace Trail system is ide- al for a day trip to explore a particular area ... or to plan an overnight ... or even a several day exploration! Each leg gives a completely different variety of eco-systems and an awesome array of terrain. The website will be providing infor- mation on where to gas up, grab a bite to eat or stay the night throughout Yuma, La Paz and Mohave Counties.
