Mason left behind a wife, Tracee, and three children:
Gabe (18), Landon (16), and Ellie (11). After his
passing, Tracee joined with Mason's older brother,
Edward Jr., to establish the Mason G. Smoak Founda-
tion. The Foundation is a faith-based organization that
is dedicated to supporting education, preserving and
protecting the environment, and fostering opportuni-
ties for leadership development. It provides four-year
scholarships to five deserving graduates each year,
provides leadership programs through high schools
in several counties, and partners with numerous
non-profits in the Highlands County area.
With the completion of Alpha Gamma's campaign
and new home construction, a plaque will be placed
in the dining hall to honor Mason. We will all remem-
ber the great person, son, friend, husband, father, and
Alpha Gamma Rho brother he was.
