Exciting Campaign Announcement Inside! ALUMNI NEWS Dr. Donald Rothwell '46 received France's highest honor, the Legion of Honor, in May of this year for his military service during World War II. This prestigious honor recognizes those who fought on French soil for the liberation of France. Donald is now a retired University of Florida professor, and attended the 60th anniversary of D-Day in France in 2004. E-mail: Terry D. Sapp '87 recently moved to a new position after serving 17 years at Pedro Menendez as the dean of students and then the athletic director. Terry now serves the St. Johns County School District as coordinator of school services. Terry and his wife, Dawn, have been married for 27 years and have two children, Kaycee (25) and Will (22); Will is a student at UF. Florida Greek GPA: 3.34 39: Number of chapter houses home to 1,527 students or 20% of the University of Florida Greek community All- Undergraduate GPA: 3.21 e average chapter size of IFC fraternities at UF 120: Percentage of the undergrad- uate student population that is part of the UF Greek community Mason left behind a wife, Tracee, and three children: Gabe (18), Landon (16), and Ellie (11). After his passing, Tracee joined with Mason's older brother, Edward Jr., to establish the Mason G. Smoak Founda- tion. The Foundation is a faith-based organization that is dedicated to supporting education, preserving and protecting the environment, and fostering opportuni- ties for leadership development. It provides four-year scholarships to five deserving graduates each year, provides leadership programs through high schools in several counties, and partners with numerous non-profits in the Highlands County area. With the completion of Alpha Gamma's campaign and new home construction, a plaque will be placed in the dining hall to honor Mason. We will all remem- ber the great person, son, friend, husband, father, and Alpha Gamma Rho brother he was.
