These projects are funded by Measure A. PULL UP A CHAIR, BY THE SEA OR UNDER A TREE Groups of colorful Adirondack chairs grace the lawns at McNears Beach Park, Paradise Beach Park, and Stafford Lake Park. Built from recycled materials, the chairs are lightweight and moveable. You can group them how you like. Adult and kid sizes–bring the family. Share lunch, or spend quiet time reading a book while looking out at the water. FINDING YOUR WAY IN OPEN SPACE Heading for a hike in a Marin County preserve? Look for new signs designed to help visitors map their journeys and stay safe on roads and trails. The signs also encourage people to be mindful of the sensitive natural resources treasured by residents of Marin. Over time this project will sign over 250 miles of open space roads and trails! It will help keep the road and trail system beautiful, sustainable, and accessible for people enjoying Marin County's natural wonders today and for future generations. KICK BACK IN THE HAMMOCK VILLAGE Plan a visit to Stafford Lake Park this fall and check out the village of colorful, comfortable rope hammocks. Twenty-two hammocks are being installed, strung from trees and sustain- ably harvested juniper wood posts. There will also be a new Bird Nest rope basket swing– sit or stand, two can share. Ad- ditional features of this Measure A makeover include free lawn games like corn hole, ladder golf, and horseshoes, plus an eco-conscious water fountain and bottle filler. Be sure to see the Spirit Nest, which will be at Stafford through spring 2019.
