2018 Football Preview 14 n Wednesday, August 22, 2018 The Herald-Leader/Westside Eagle Observer some, and when they do, it's a safe bet they'll be looking for Wright, who caught 73 passes for 900 yards and seven touchdowns last season. "We've got to get the ball in his hands a bunch," Ernest said. "We just have to get him the ball." Wright also will get some carries and may even line up some at quarterback in the Wildcat formation. Tomblin also plays receiver as do Philpott, Smartt, Rayburn and Tram- mell. "They all bring different things," Ernest said. Senior Samuel Santiago, Reding and senior Jackson Bolinger also will see some time at wide receiver. Kilgore leads the Pioneers' group of tight ends, and Ernest believes he is a college football prospect. "He's a really good route runner with soft hands," Ernest said of Kilgore, who also is one of Gentry's top basketball players. Wood and Mathias also play tight end for the Pioneers. The Pioneers will lean on Ruzek to anchor the offensive line at offensive tackle. "We're hoping to be good at getting off the ball and getting some move- ment up front," he said. Ernest said Ruzek is another college prospect. He's got good feet and hand place- ment," Ernest said. "He plays behind his pads really well and is very strong." Williamson will play another tackle position and is a physical player who moves his feet well. Gentry plays two offensive guards with Dilbeck manning a strong guard and Barrios playing a quick guard. Hester plays the center position and is smart and makes all the calls for the offensive line. Wimoth and Still provide depth along the offensive line. Gentry opens its season Aug. 24 at Dardanelle.
