Under- wood #Grand Conductress: Ellen Brooks #Associate Grand Conductress: Betty Jo Yommer #Grand Trustee: Janet Dorsett CHINA GROVE – Eureka #283 organizes a golf outing every year to fund its scholarship program, and usually gives two students a scholarship of $1,000 each to graduating seniors from two South Rowan high schools. But this year, the lodge was able to commit to four such scholarships. Brother Tom Lentz, far left, is on hand to honor students (l-r) Madson Rollins, Caleb Faulk, Amanda Patton and Kaitlyn Smith. LENOIR – Hibriten #262 recently presented two $1,000 scholarships. One to Silva Mahon, graduate of West Caldwell High School, and one to Ryan Balda, gradu- ate of Caldwell Middle College. Both students will be attending Western Carolina University in the fall. This is the first year the lodge has granted scholarships and hope to present three next year. On hand for the presentation are, l-r, Past Master Clyde Robbins, Silva Mahon, Master Tom Bridges, Ryan Balda and Senior Deacon Clint Greene. A special surprise came after the presentation when brothers learned that Silva's father was raised at the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford. GIBSONVILLE – Master Jeff Shepherd of Tabasco #271 presents lodge schol- arships to Kyle Scott Brown from Western Alamance High School and Bradley Seth Kennedy from Eastern Guilford High School. Both will be attending NC State in the fall. LAURINBURG – Worshipful Master Michael Nobles presents 2018 Laurinburg #305 annual $500 scholarships to Scotland County graduating high school seniors: George Brown who will attend Wingate University; Kayleigh Smith Locklear and Ian Montgomery Spangler, who will attend the University of North Carolina-Pembroke; and Christopher Walters, who will attend Appalachian State University. 50 YEARS John Masson, Clifford Duell #756 Harold Narron, Rodgers #525 William Robert Watson, Lucama #527 Phillip Ray Wall, Vanceboro #433 Congratulations to these 50-year members Grand Chapter OES elects officers for the new year
