T hose who knew and loved the Fayetteville Museum of Art were sad to see it close its doors in 2008. The once lively art venue lay vacant for nearly two years until Justin Pearson purchased the property with a vision to reinvent it as Vizcaya Villa ��� a unique wedding and event space. V Pearson is no stranger to the Fayetteville area. Formerly a combat photographer with the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Pearson saw the museum grounds as the perfect location for private parties, romantic weddings and other festive events. The project wouldn't have been possible without the help and creative energy of General Manager Jessica Paddock, who came to Fayetteville with her husband Chad, a soldier at Fort Bragg. Renovations started immediately in preparation for their first wedding in October 2012. Although the task seemed daunting, the bones were there to create something beautiful. Pearson and Paddock saw immense potential in the indoor spaces and balconies, the lush wooded acreage with its lake and connecting bridges, the tucked-away gazebo, and the jutting peninsula. Throughout the renovation phases, every detail and design choice at Vizcaya Villa was made with weddings and events in mind. Depending on the nature of your event, you may also find creative uses for our boutique Bridal Suite, Groom Room, bar, and catering area. Vizcaya Villa also has a first class, on-site studio that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and backdrops to give brides a flattering and flawless portrait or bridal session. Every aspect of the beautifully landscaped acreage was considered from Pearson's perspective as a photographer. From the choice of flowering foliage and the arched bridges, to the wrought iron ceremony trellis and the covered gazebo he has created an environment that maximizes the opportunity for a seamless photography experience.
