Theta Chapter Places Top Five for Best Chapter at Convention I n June, over 1,000 Kappas from all over the continent met in Denver, Colorado, for the 72nd Biennial Convention to conduct the business of the Fraternity and celebrate our sisterhood. Several members of eta's Chapter Council and Advisory Board attended in order to gain valuable information about the Fraternity and their respective areas. eta Chapter alumnae Marian Klingbeil Williams '55, former Fraternity President, and Suzanne Calvin Dalton '81, former Director of Chapters, were in attendance, along with Fraternity Alumna Relations Director Sally Seigfreid Harner '71. Also in attendance were former Leadership Consultant (Field Representative) Maddy Poletis '12 and current Leadership Consultants Taylor Downey '14 and Conner Logsdon '14. It is absolutely extraordinary that two eta Chapter Kappas will be serving the Fraternity as Leadership Consultants this year! eta Chapter was among the top-five chapters named as finalists for the Most Outstanding Chapter Award. is prestigious honor is based on "all-around performance, efficiency, and exemplification of Kappa's ideals, mission and standards." e chapter was also presented with the Standards Award and received Honorable Mentions in the important areas of New Member Program, Philanthropy, Recruitment, and Chapter/Advisory Board Relations. We can all be proud that eta Chapter continues to not only reflect the highest Kappa ideals and standards, but is having an enduring impact on both the Mizzou community and the Fraternity at large.
