T hank you to all alumnae who have so generously contributed to e Key to Excellence Since 1875 capital campaign! We have truly been overwhelmed by the tremendous outpouring of enthusiasm and loyalty you have already shown with your pledged gis. e House Board has been hard at work overseeing the renovation. e new hardwood flooring has been installed, and a circular plaza with a fleur- de-lis has taken shape on the front lawn. e dining room expansion is well underway, and the chapter room will be substantially larger. As planned, all major project work will be completed in time for the collegians to prepare for Work Week and Recruitment. MORE THAN $1.2 MILLION RAISED To date, the campaign has received $1,240,253 in pledges from 307 donors. ese gis will provide a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility for our collegiate sisters and enhance our standing as a leader among Mizzou's Greek community. While 307 is a significant number of donors, it means that more than 2,000 eta Chapter alumnae still have the opportunity to become involved with our campaign. Currently, our participation rate is 11%, while the highest participation rate among Greek women's campaigns at Mizzou is 18%, with an average of 12%. We are on track to well exceed the average, and we are confident that our eta Chapter sisters may even break the record. What a point of pride that would be! Are you among the 2,000 alumnae whose names are not yet on our donor list? If so, please don't delay! Your participation will make all of the difference in helping us to meet our campaign goals by not only benefitting the chapter financially today, but by communicating a strong message of loyalty and support for the chapter's future. THETA CHAPTER NEEDS YOU NOW If you have been waiting to make a commitment, now is the time. Your participation, no matter the size of your gi, is an expression of your commitment to Kappa, and we hope you will join us in building for the next generation of sisters. Please remember that your tax-deductible gi can be paid over a five-year period and that all donors pledging $2,500 or more will have their names inscribed on a prominently displayed plaque in the new and improved Kappa house. We also invite you to come see the wonderful work that has been accomplished through your generosity by attending the House Warming event on August 25. All of our Kappa sisters are welcome, and we hope you will make plans to be in Columbia for this historic day in eta Chapter's history! See page 2 for more details. Please use the enclosed pledge card to add your name as an individual or as a family to the list of sisters who have already made a gi, or you may even consider adding a sixth year to your existing pledge schedule. With your support, the next 143 years of eta Chapter can continue to inspire young women as much as the first 143 years have inspired each of us.
