Discover CityViewNC.com's fresh updated look! | 13 are married. But a man who is the Godhead stands out on his job, in his community and in ministries and other religious areas of worship. One of the teaching principles of my ministry is educating young men by teaching the importance of prayer and spiritual relationship, the value of self-respect, responsibility and accountability. Genesis 1:26 is clear on God's intent for man: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, aer our likeness: and let them have dominion..." A man must understand that there is a decision he must make before he can accomplish what God created him to be; he must first be in right standing with God though a personal relationship with Jesus. God is not looking for flawless men, He is looking for available men, men who are willing to answer His call. Oen times, the spiritual enemy tries to derail man's thinking and puts forth great effort to discourage men with shortcomings. Regardless of any shortcomings you have, God will make up the difference. e prophet Isaiah confessed his shortcomings: "I am a man with unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips…" (Isaiah 6:5) If our nation is ever going to get back onto the track that it has fallen off of, man is going to have to take his rightful place back in the kingdom of God. I believe it is possible if we would repent, turn back unto God and walk in the newness of our God-given authority as men. Our families and children are depending on us. Our communities need us, and God himself is waiting on us. Dr. Mark Rowden is president and founder of MRM International Inc., an outreach ministry based in Fayetteville.
